Man accused of stealing jewelry SARASOTA COUNTY -- A man has been charged with breaking into a 91-year-old woman's Englewood home as she slept and later selling some of her jewelry, including her husband's wedding ring, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reported. James H. Santo, 27, of North Port, was arrested Monday after his fingerprints were found on a 7-Up can in the woman's home. The home was broken into on June 18. Deputies discovered the suspect left a soda can on the workbench in the victim's garage, before using a chisel to pry open the door to the home and steal items from the living room, kitchen and bedroom.
